Hornet City Robotics

Delaware State University (DSU) hosted their first FIRST LEGO League (FLL) qualifying event in 2013. In 2014 DSU partnered with For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) to run the robotics program throughout the state of Delaware, Southern New Jersey and some areas of Pennsylvania. As of 2015, we have focused only on the state of Delaware.

This partnership has pushed DSU further into the state’s communities and has increased our outreach efforts which align with DSU core values. Since 2013 we have spearheaded over 30 robotic events serving over 4000 students

Director’s Message

The 2023-2024 FLL Season:

  1. Hornet City Robotics (Delaware) will be conducting in-person and/or remote events for the 2023-2024 season.  Information about these events will be posted at the FLL Events page (and e-mailed to registered teams) as they get scheduled.  Hornet City Robotics Champion’s Tournament might be remote or in-person (depending on health advisories).  Information will be available at the Champion’s Tournament page.
  2. Teams will be able to register for any Hornet City Robotics event in Delaware.
  3. Regional event registration will be done at the Hornet City Robotics website as events get scheduled.

And if that was not enough!

Hornet City Robotics FIRST FLL Explore (previously FLL Jr.) will still be available for any team in Delaware.

Good luck this season! Enjoy the challenges, and remember the tournaments and expos that you attend are there for the students to showcase what they have accomplished, and what they discover is more important than what they win!
